The care, placed where it happens in their life.
Most of our patients we meet as kittens and puppies. This is the line we walk with them, and every case ends the same way: a re-check, to be sure.

More than 20 years in Amora
The same vet, for the next generation too.
Fénix is Dr. Rui Neves' clinic, a street-level shop on Rua Joaquim Valentim Correia, in Amora. Many of the families who come in today have been coming since the start of his career, and now bring their second and third dogs and cats.
What they tell us back is always the same few things: that he explains everything in detail, that he asks them to return so he can confirm the problem is solved, and that he never sells what the animal doesn't need.
At the front desk you'll find Sr. Cabedal Neves, and next to them Ana and the team. Small, unhurried, and on first-name terms with most of the patients.

On prices
No price list here. Three promises instead.
Every animal is different, so prices are given on the phone or at the consult. What doesn't change:
- 01
The price before the procedure
Before any surgery or test, you know what it costs.
- 02
Nothing your animal doesn't need
"They don't push extras on me to make money," a client wrote. That's the rule.
- 03
Every treatment explained
What it is, why, and what to watch for at home.

For about 20 years I had the privilege of trusting my animals' care to a truly exceptional vet. He never treated them as simple clinical cases, but as unique lives, deserving care, dignity and affection.

He takes care to explain all the treatments, with medicine and without. Extremely concerned, he always advises a new visit to check everything was solved.

He saved one of my cats, who has only one kidney: he treated him first, took the risk of the sterilisation, and today he's a happy, healthy cat.

The vets here care about the animals. They treat my dog very well, and they don't push extras on me to make money. Very honest.

Dr. Rui suggested I stay with my cat until the anaesthesia took effect, and told me I could call to hear how the surgery went, to put me at ease.
